Electrolyte ot CuSO₄ can be represented by two half cell reactions these occurring at cathode and anode respectively as

At Cathode

{Cu}^{2 +} + 2 e^{-} ⟶ Cu (s)

At Anode

Cu (s) \to {Cu}^{2 +} + 2 e^{-}

Here, Cu will deposit at cathode while copper will dissolved at anode.
