32. Calculate the length of the arc of a circle of radius 31.0 cm which subtends an angle of $π / 6$ at the centre.

Hint:

Angle = \frac{arc}{radius}

Step 1: Find the length of the arc.

$\begin{array}{ll} We know that angle & θ = \frac{l}{r} radian \\ Given, & θ = \frac{π}{6} = \frac{l}{31} \\ Hence, & length = l = 31 \times \frac{π}{6} cm = \frac{31 \times 3 .14}{6} cm = 16 .22 cm \end{array}$

Rounding off to three significant figures it would be 16.2 cm.
