(vi) 3-Bromo-4-phenylpentanoic acid
(vii) p,p’-Dihydroxybenzophenone
(viii) Hex-2-en-4-ynoic acid
(i)
The compound name is 3-Methylbutanal. The parent chain contains 4 carbon atoms and a methyl group at the third position.
The structure is as follows:
(ii)
The compound is p-Nitropropiophenone. The parent ring is the benzene ring in which -NO2 group is present and CH3CH2CO- group is present.

The compound name is p-Methylbenzaldehyde. When the benzene ring is attached to the -CHO group then it is called benzaldehyde. At the para position with respect to the CHO group, CH3 group is present.

The compound is 4-Methylpent-3-en-2-one. The parent chain name is pent-3-en-2-one. It contains a double bond at the third carbon and the second carbon is the ketone group carbon.
