Homoleptic complex The complex containing only one species or group as ligand is known as homoleptic ligand.

e.g., ${[Co {({NH}_{3})}_{6}]}^{3 +}$ , ${[Ni {(CN)}_{4}]}^{2 -}$

Here, ${[C o {(N H_{3})}_{6}]}^{3 +}$ contain only ${N H}_{3}$ as a ligand and ${[N i {(C N)}_{4}]}^{2 -}$ contains CN as a ligand.
